ROES Desktop Client

A Multi-Platform Tool for Labs and Photographers of All Sizes

The ROES Desktop Client is a Java-based application that runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. ROES offers the user the ability to select a lab defined product and precisely define crops and rotations on their images within that product. Add-on modules like the Designer Suite and the Packager Suite provide labs a number of optional tools they can provide to the photographer to create and submit their order to your lab.

Custom Branded Ordering Portals

The ROES Client allows you to create customized and easily recognizable Lab Branded ordering portals that work as an extension of your brand. This will help your customers find and recognize you and allow you to increase general brand recognition.

Four Separate Clients

The ability to create four separate branded ordering portals allows you to create portals specifically targeted to different market segments. This will allow you to expand your reach across the markets.

THE PACKAGER MODULE

Separate Prints One Order

An optional add-on module allows for creation of user defined groups of products that can be ordered at one time, yet be printed as separate products at the lab. These can be simple groups of a few products with the same image linked amongst them, such as school portrait packages, or a cluster of products set in a pattern as wall art.

Copy or Individual Pose Packages

When adding images to packages you can choose to have each product node display copies of the same image, or individual images. Copy packages will share the same image and the same values among the images. Individual Pose Packages will not share images across nodes, and will have individual values.

Image Spans

One image can be set to span across several nodes to create a wall display. The multiple nodes will each show part of the image and have values shared across them in order to create a cohesive single image.

Customize Products

This optional add-on module allows the user to modify existing lab products to create products that are tailored to their needs. If you’re not sure what the photographer wants, you can let them create their own products on the fly!

Flexible Tools

The ROES Designer Module allows users to modify products by adding items like image nodes, text sections, drop shadows, strokes, tint, fill color, and more. The tools available are designed to allow your imagination to run wild.

Persistent Data

An Event lives outside of the context of any particular order. The photographer can define what data they want associated with their event. This customization gives the photographer the ability to decide what data they want in an event and how that data is organized.

Automatically Assign Images to Records

By using QR codes printed on Subject Cards, images in an Event can be automatically sorted and assigned data. If there is an issue or the photographer wants to see exactly what is happening, the Subject Cards also contain data that is human-readable so the photographer can still make manual assignments based on that same data.

Batch Cropping

Images can be assigned to a package based on the data assigned earlier, this allows all images in the package to be formatted at once, saving time and making things easy for the photographer.
